We all know first impressions are important, but what about last impressions? When you write an essay, the concluding paragraph is the last thing the reader reads. It's what creates a final impression - or fails to make any lasting impression at all. It's where you're supposed to sum it all up, to say what it all means, to leave people feeling like their time reading your essay was well spent. That's a tall order! No wonder almost every student I talk to hates writing conclusions!
